IHOPU requires that all international students purchase health insurance for the duration of their time at IHOPU. As an international student, you have two options for health insurance coverage.

  1. Enroll in the Compass Silver plan through IHOPU’s agreement with ISO, an international student health insurance company, or
  2. Purchase a policy on your own through a different provider. If you choose to purchase your own policy, please be sure it meets the requirements below.

Once you are accepted to your program, International Services will email you with more information about purchasing health insurance coverage. General information about your options is provided below.

ISO’s Compass Silver Plan

Basic information about the Compass Silver plan is provided below for your reference. For full policy details, please visit isoa.org.

You can sign up for an ISO plan by emailing [email protected] as soon as you are notified of your acceptance. Coverage through ISO is purchased one semester (four months) or one internship track (usually three months) at a time. The coverage will begin the first day of class of that semester/track.
